Topical or oral: which format actually fits your life?
The best treatment is the one you keep using. Here is how to pick between a liquid or foam you apply and a daily pill.

Most hair-growth routines fail for a boring reason: the format did not fit the person.
Topicals — minoxidil solutions and foams — are applied directly to the scalp, usually once or twice a day. They act where you need them, and because they are not systemic, many people prefer them as a first step. The trade-off is the routine: wet or slightly tacky hair, drying time, and remembering it twice a day.
Oral treatments are simpler to keep up with. One pill, same time each day, no drying time and nothing to work around before bed. Prescription oral options require a clinician review, and some people prefer to avoid a systemic medication entirely.
A practical way to choose: picture a Tuesday night when you are tired. If applying a liquid to your scalp sounds like something you would skip, choose oral. If taking a daily prescription sounds like more than you want right now, choose topical.
There is no wrong answer here, only the one you will still be doing in six months — which is exactly when results become visible.
